There are moments in life that remind you why you never gave up.

Recently, I received a certificate from The Recording Academy recognizing my participation as a Guest Artist on The Colors In My Mind, a Grammy-nominated album by Chris Redding in the category of Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album.

As I held the certificate in my hands, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and reflection. My mind immediately traveled back to my childhood—to the little girl who spent countless hours singing, dreaming, and imagining what it would be like to one day contribute to music that could touch people’s lives.

Like many artists, I began my journey with nothing more than a dream.

Long before I understood the music industry, record labels, or the Grammy Awards, I knew that music was where I belonged. It was the language through which I expressed my emotions, my creativity, and my connection to the world around me.

What I didn’t know then was how much persistence would be required to stay on the path.

The road to any meaningful accomplishment is rarely a straight line. There have been moments of celebration and moments of uncertainty. There have been opportunities that opened doors and challenges that tested my faith. Through every season, however, one thing remained constant: my love for creating music.

That love is what makes this recognition so meaningful.

Being a Guest Artist on a Grammy-nominated project is an honor that I will always cherish. While the nomination belongs to the incredible collective effort of everyone involved, I am deeply grateful to have contributed my voice and artistry to a project that has been recognized on one of music’s most prestigious stages.
